Repeat Prescriptions and the Express Clinic

If you need a repeat prescription for a regular medication that we have previously prescribed, please ring the clinic on 02 6628 0505 between 8.30am and 9.00am. Please note that this repeat prescription service is not available for pain medication and sleeping tablets, and you must have been seen for a face to face consultation in the clinic in the last 12 months. If you are not eligible, or require a pain medication or sleeping tablet, you will need a routine face to face appointment.

Urgent Care and After Hours Care

If you call the clinic outside of normal hours, a recorded message will contain the after hours number of the on-call doctor. Sometimes it can be helpful just to get advice from someone you know. If you or your family member need to be seen, the doctor may open up the clinic and consult with you there, or visit you at home. In medical emergencies the ambulance should be called on 000 immediately. The charge for after hours visit is available below.

Our Fees

Standard

$50 Gap ($40 concession)

The full amount for your consultation is payable on the day of service. The standard out of pocket gap for consultations is $50. The charge for a service therefore will be the rebate provided by Medicare plus an additional $50. Currently, the charge for a standard consultation is $93.90, of which $43.90 is available as a rebate from Medicare. The gap for an extended consultation is $65 – the fee is $149.90, of which the rebate is $84.90. A discounted out of pocket gap of $40 is available for Health Care Card holders and people on a Commonwealth pension. The discounted charge for a standard consultation is $83.90, and for an extended consultation is $124.90. Additional services, such as biopsies, ECGs or spirometry, will be charged as 'Medicare rebate only', so there is no additional gap payment. Some services, such as surgical procedures or infusions, application of a plaster cast, and insertion of a Mirena IUCD, may attract an additional, non-rebatable fee. Please check with reception when booking your appointment. Home Visits (In Hours) have an $80 out of pocket gap.

Children 5 years and under

No gap

Consultations for children aged 5 years and under are bulk billed with no out-of-pocket costs for standard appointments.

After Hours

$100 gap (for existing patients only)

After-hours consultations are available for existing patients. The out-of-pocket gap for after-hours care is $100.
